I recently saw a 29hp cubcadet 4wd w/loader, backhoe, industrial tires, and 180hrs sell at auction for $13500. I'm not familiar with Cubcadet and was wondering if this was a good price? Seems great in retrospect.... Also any opinions on Cub Cadet would be appreciated. They aren't listed in the equipment guides and I was wondering why?

Gerard, $13,500 for that Cub Cadet does seem like a very good price, considering the fact that it included a backhoe. I bought a Cub Cadet riding mower nearly 5 years ago and then a few months later, when looking for a compact tractor, I almost bought a Cub Cadet tractor, before finally deciding on a Kubota. In fact, the Kubota dealer I bought from also sold Cub Cadet, and I had also looked at the Cub Cadet at another dealer. I found that the Cub Cadet cost a little, not a lot, more than a comparable Kubota, and my salesman told me the Kubota would probably hold its value better (I think he was right). But the biggest factor was probably that I drove a Kubota and liked it. Then I sat on the Cub Cadet (didn't even drive it) and it was uncomfortable for me, but that would probably vary from one person to another. I'm still partial to Kubota, but for the right price . . .. I do think the Cub Cadet is a fine little tractor. ....
